FETE FINALS
There are still a few items to sort out, but it looks as though the Byfield Church Village Fete held on 14th June has raised £5,600 for the Holy Cross Action Project.
BLOOD DONATION
The National Blood Service will be visiting Byfield’s Village Hall on Friday 15th August, for donors to give blood. See News for more details
DIAL-A-WHEELCHAIR
Wheelchairs and other equipment are available on short-term loan (up to eight weeks) from the British Red Cross, subject to availability.
HISTORIC CHURCHES TRUST SPONSORED CYCLE RIDE/WALK
This event will be taking place on Saturday 13th September, which gives you a bit of time to get yourself – and your bike – ready! For fuller details contact the local organiser, Barry Thompson, on 01327 260227.
BISHOP FRANK TO CONSECRATE PLOT
Various alterations and improvements have been carried out to and around the Burial Ground, including extending and improving the stone path, and the new section at the rear of the existing burial plots is to be consecrated by Bishop Frank, Bishop of Brixworth, on Tuesday 1st July at 4pm.
BYWORD DEADLINE

PIG ROAST
The Village Club’s Annual Pig Roast and Fun Day takes place on Saturday 19th July from 2pm with music until late, bouncy castle, and lots more. Everyone welcome.
BYFIELD WEA
In September there will be a ten-week course covering “Well Turned-Out: Fashion Through Portraits And Documents” with tutor Judith Hodgkinson. See News for more.
