Greetings from Bermuda.
I don’t know if any current residents of Byfield remember me, but I lived on Lovett Road from1958 to 1966, when I went to college in Birmingham.
After teaching in Birmingham for three years, I left to teach in Bermuda in 1972.
Currently I am working for the Bermuda Broadcasting Company, reading the Morning News over our three radio stations, as well as being in sales.
On March 29 I am leaving for Belize to work for My Refuge Christian Radio. Hopefully I will have my own Gospel Music Program there, as I did in Bermuda.
I am a widower (61) with a 29 year old daughter, who is remaining in Bermuda to look after my affairs.
I don’t know how long I will stay in Belize, possibly a year or more, as I assist in the development of the ministry.
I am so glad that I have been able to access your site to keep up with development with the village. I used to teach Sunday School at Holy Cross Church, when Rev. Andrew Freer was the pastor, who later moved to Brackley.
Does Rex Partridge still deliver the mail? I last saw him when I visited in 1991, but I have not been to the U.K. since, not being able to trace any relatives on my late mother’s side of the family.
Thank you for running this very informative site!
