Village hall wedding

A No Smoking venue

An ideal village centre venue for all types of interests and activities

There is new disabled access plus a disabled toilet, an induction loop system, and level parking available close to the hall.

We have a large hall which can hold up to 250 for disco type events or 140 for seated functions.

There is ample food preparation and serving space, two larder fridges, a range-type cooker and a heated food cabinet in the newly refurbished kitchen area.

A beer cooler and dispensing system is available in the bar area

Included in the hire rate are the performing rights for all music used or played live, a piano if required, large and small tables, 150 plus chairs, and cups and saucers for tea or coffee. Full settings of crockery, cutlery and glasses are available to hire as an extra.

Licensed events can be accommodated, strictly after approval by the Committee. The number of such events is very limited due to the 2003 Licensing Act

The premises are available for hire at reasonable rates for meetings, training courses, seminars, educational and recreational classes, weddings, dances, concerts, exhibitions, theatrical productions, parties to celebrate birthdays, anniversaries, baptisms, engagements - in fact the hall is adaptable to suit any legal occasion.

There are reductions in the hire rates for regular bookings and special rates for activities for children.

Lower Annex
There is also a self-contained smaller meeting room for up to 30 people, also with full disabled access and toilet, induction loop system plus tea and coffee making facilities.

This area has its own entertainment licence, which covers both the Lower Annexe rooms and the outside Patio Area.

This area is ideal for adult classes, meetings and training courses for small group. The space would also be excellent for bridge, chess or similar activity. It is the location for the Byfield Book Exchange.

Village Hall stage

With its own licence, it can accommodate small business receptions or presentations and small parties. Alcohol licenses are more readily available for this area.

If you are interested in hiring the hall for a group or private event, considering starting an activity or interest group new to our village, or would like more information please contact the Booking Secretary, Mrs. B. Edmunds, 18 Lovett Road, Byfield, Northants NN11 6XF. Telephone 01327 262106.
